Area 21 DTM March 9th 2025.
Tivyside ran their first Dressage to Music Area 21 Qualifier. With the sun shining it was set to be a beautiful day.
Within the 12 competing riders, 5 were Tivyside members.
Rianne Fulton and Jo Collins competing for the very first time in DTM; Jo competing in the Prelim class with her young horse Towie was the first to go for our riders and produced a lovely test gaining 66.11 % for 1st place! Eleri Morgan in the Novice 0 points class with Millie scored a respectable 64.72 so a 1st place for them as well!
Rianne Fulton and Leanne Best both competed in the novice with points class were next up both producing very pleasing tests with Leanne gaining 65.55 for 5th place and Rianne Fulton to her utter amazement gained 71.67 bagging a 1st place, the top 3 scores were very close indeed.
Elementary was next with horse and riders seemingly really enjoying their floor plans and music for this one, Leanne and Rhubarb 67.16 for 3rd place, Gaynor Macefield with Flash 60.58 for 5th and Rianne Fulton with Moji got 68.46 for another 1st place once again! The top 3 were very close scores.
That should mean that Jo, Eleri and Rianne have all qualified for the Championship in Lincoln at the end of April.
A very big well done to you all ????

'Thankyous' go to...
Our Judges Sally Frost and Rebecca Morris .
Organiser Muriel Gill for her hard work and effort putting on 2 days of competition for members of BRC Area 21 to enjoy. Thank you to to the many volunteers who helped Muriel with the smooth running of the event, and to the competitors that supported- without you there wouldn't be a qualifying competition for all to enjoy. Everyone is a winner on days like these!

All Area 21 Competitions are open to all Riding Clubs within Area 21 - therefore we are able to take part in these activities. Please note that these competitions also require ground help volunteers as well as ridden members taking part, so there is something for everyone to get involved with.
Please contact Petra or Muriel to show your interest in volunteering for these events and they will forward your names to the organising club. You can learn an awful lot whilst pole picking/dressage writing/stewarding etc. Many hands make light work and everyone's help is appreciated.
